UNAIR Midwifery Highlighted Education Implementation during Pandemic Period
02 September 2020, UNAIR Midwifery held a webinar conference series session I. This time, the study program took the subject of midwifery education during a pandemic. This conference was entitled the strategy of simulation learning process in midwifery education. The number of participants in session 1 reached 4,362 participants. The event was held through a zoom meeting and live on Youtube. Midwifery UNAIR invited several speakers from overseas campuses, namely Deakin University and Flinders University. Prof. Linda Sweet, BNg, MHgS, PhD. Grad Cart Ed was a speaker from Deakin University, which is the campus’ chair of midwifery. Another speaker was Kristen Graham, MSc, who was a lecturer in midwifery and nursing at Flinders University. n addition, this conference invited the chairman of the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI), Dr. Emi Nurjasmi, MSc, PH.
This event was started with an opening which was hosted by the presenter, Endyka Erye Frety, M.Keb. The first speech was given by the Vice Dean III, Prof., Dr Ni Made Mertaniasih., Dr., MS., Sp.MK. After that, it was continued by the Head of FK UNAIR Midwifery Study Program, Dr. Budi Prasetyo, dr., Sp. OG. (K). Then, the main event was hosted by moderator Farida Fitriana, S.Keb., Bd., M.Sc. who is one of the lecturers at Midwifery FK UNAIR. The first material was given by Dr. Emi Nurjasmi, MSc, PH with the theme midwife education as a pillar that provides support for maternal and neonatal health in Indonesia. hen, the second material was given by Prof. Linda Sweet, BNg, MHgS, PhD, Grad Cart Ed with the theme of improving the quality of midwifery education: a challenge during a pandemic. And finally, the material was given by Kristen Graham, MSc with the theme of embedding critical thinking and clinical reasoning through online learning. Saf.
