UNAIR Midwifery Towards Accelerated Research
In August 2020, Midwifery Study Program Faculty of Medicine Airlangga University (UNAIR) held a workshop entitled “Research Development Capacity Building Workshop”. In implementing this event, UNAIR Midwifery collaborates with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as part of the CoE (Centre of Excellence) program. In addition, UNAIR Midwifery also collaborated with Ministry of Health Human Resources Training Centre. This event was held through the Zoom Meeting and broadcast live on Youtube. The purpose of this event was to increase the productivity of lecturers and students in research and scientific publications. Workshop held on a regular basis, beginning in the second week of August to bring in some speakers in it. This event was held regularly with distribution twice a week.
The research development workshop opened for the first time on 11 August 2020 and was continued with the provision of material. This event was opened by the Head of UNAIR Midwifery Study Program, Dr. Budi Prasetyo, dr., Sp.OG. (K). After that, the event was continued with speeches from several parties. The first welcome speaker was given by a UNFPA representative, Imma Batubara. After that, it was continued by Ministry of Health Human Resources Training Centre, Akemat S.Kp M.Kes. After that, workshop began with the first speaker, Muhammad Miftahussur, dr., M.Kes, Sp.PD-KGEH., PhD. The first speaker delivered research proposal writing material for national and international grants. The material continued with the speaker Farida Fitriana S.Keb., Bd., M.Sc about writing references to proposals using Mendeley. And the last session, the material was delivered by Dr. Diah Indriani S.Si, M.Si with the title of meta analysis research.
August 12th, 2020, being the second day of the workshop. This time, the event was filled by 3 speakers. For the first session delivered by Dr. Pudji Lestari. Dr., MPH. She delivered technical systematic review research in health and midwifery. Then, Dwi Izzati, S.Keb, Bd, M.Sc provided material on methodology and analysis of qualitative research data. Furthermore, the event was closed with the last speaker Dr. Windhu Purnomo, dr., M.S. He delivered methodology and analysis of qualitative research data. This series of workshops will continue in the next 2 weeks with the preparation of a research proposal. Proposal as the output of this activity. Hopefully this can be used as provisions for research grants or scientific publications. (saf).
